Alden Richards denies having children with Maine Mendoza

Hello, Love, Goodbye actor Alden Richards firmly denied having children with his former onscreen partner Maine Mendoza. He shared once more that the rumors about him and Maine aren’t true at all in a recent interview with former Kapamilya actress Toni Gonzaga.

Alden and Maine used to be part of the hit love team AlDub back in 2016 which had gained thousands of fans.

The 32-year-old Kapuso star admitted that he thought the rumors of having kids with the actress would die down after Maine’s wedding to Arjo Atayde last year.

“All along akala ko by the time na, of course, Maine and Arjo and they became public and they got married eventually …Nandiyan pa rin ‘yun [mga tsismis],” he said.

On various social media platforms, fans of AlDub continue to claim that they have proof of the former onscreen partner’s relationship in real life––even going as far as calling Maine’s marriage with Arjo a scam.

Alden then reiterated to AlDub fans that these rumors have been long debunked by both of them. He added that none of it is true as they were never together in real life.

“I already said my piece about this. It’s not true. Wala pong katotohanan lahat. Wala po kaming anak. We never got married. We don’t have a love child. But right now po I’m at a point na, masaya po sila roon eh, tatanggalin ko pa ba,” he shared.

“Ira-rub ko pa ba sa mga buhay nila na, ‘wala nga, huwag kayong makulit.’ I’m not that kind of person. I always support the happiness of people,” he added.

Previously, Maine denied rumors of having love child and being married to Alden in an interview with Ogie Diaz. She claimed that most of their fans have long accepted that they won’t be together in real life while others still believe in the illusion.

“I would take this chance, kasi ‘yong iba sabi mag-asawa kami ni Alden, may anak na kami. Marami na rin akong mga tao na ni-direct message sa Twitter to tell them na wala pong katotohanan. Ako na mismo ‘yung nagme-message sa kanila, pero ang reply nila sa akin, ‘Hindi si Maine ‘yan. Admin ‘yan ng account ni Maine. May asawa na si Maine, may anak na si Maine,’” she previously said.

Meanwhile, Alden asserted that he and Maine have already talked about the persistent rumor.

“I have my life right now, I have my peace, I’m happy perfectly with what I have, what I’m able to do at the moment. I seize every opportunity, sayang, there’s time for that,” he said.
